Available as downloads from iTunes and Hudson Digital, Russ Miller’s Rhythmic Conversations play-along tracks let drummers show their skills as they go head-to-head with 10 of the world’s top drummers in the ultimate “Battle Of The Beat”. Upcoming launch features online contest with major prizes from Zildjian, Yamaha, Remo, ProLogix, Meinl and Hudson Limited.
Produced by world-renowned drummer Russ Miller, Rhythmic Conversations (Hudson Limited) are nine double drumset duets that give drummers an opportunity to learn new rhythmic concepts, musical styles and playing techniques while sitting in with Miller and modern-day drum heroes Steve Gadd, Steve Smith, Jeff Hamilton, Rick Marotta, Zoro, Johnny Rabb, John "JR" Robinson, Akira Jimbo and Wolfgang Haffner. The minus drums play-along tracks of these incredible drum battles are now available from iTunes as individual downloads as well as a complete package that includes a full set of audio files and printable transcriptions required to master all eighteen challenging drum parts that make up the nine duets. The separate tracks and complete package, plus an exclusive, full duet (two tracks and transcriptions) option are also offered from Hudson’s new digital distribution service, Hudson Digital (www.hudsonmusic.com/digital).
All eighteen duet tracks and printable transcriptions are also contained on the Rhythmic Conversations play-along CD that is included as part of Miller’s ambitious three-disc set, Arrival: Behind The Glass. In addition to the Rhythmic Conversations CD, the full package features Arrival, an 80-minute audio CD with new music and complete performances of the drum duets by the original artists plus a 3-hour and 20-minute DVD in which Miller teaches the musical and technical principles used in the double drumset and full band compositions. The DVD also includes interviews with the featured drummers as well as exclusive behind-the-scenes bonus footage.
